Plane tickets are purchased! At least I assume. There was a little bit of a glitch the first time I tried to buy tickets, but I hope everything is all worked out and ready to go. Turns out this excursion is turning into a party, too. Now Kayla will be joining Sarah and I for a brief stay in Dublin and several days in Italy, after which time I will be going my own way through Eastern Europe.
Tentatively, the tickets for Sarah and I are – forget the ‘tentatively,’ I just received the confirmation email! So we depart at 0600 from Phoenix and land in Chicago at 1130, then leave at 1640 and land in Madrid at 0745 the next morning. With only about an hour layover in Madrid we’ll be in Ireland about 1030 on June 1st, 2015. That give us a little under 70 hours to explore before we depart at 0645 June 4th for the four-hour flight to Rome. I have to get specifics from Kayla, but I believe she will be joining us a day late in Ireland and staying a few extra days until we get to Ljubljana.
Apart from that, I’ve accomplished quite a bit this week toward trip progress. I picked up (through Amazon) a bunch of supplies I’ll need while backpacking. I received my Passport and photocopied it. I have come to the decision that I am going to move out of my current residence when the lease expires. Not sure where I’ll stay when I return, but I guess I’ll worry about that when I return.
If you don’t find the cover picture for this post hilarious, there is something seriously wrong with you.
